Fender Custom Shop 2020 Limited 70th Anniversary 1950 Broadcaster Journeyman Relic

This is a limited reissue model commemorating the 70th anniversary of the BROADCASTER, the original model of the Nocaster and Telecaster.

Originally released as Fender's first solid body electric guitar "Broadcaster", but the trademark "BroadKaster" was already owned by Gretsch, so the product name "Broadcaster" could no longer be used. The name "Broadcaster" was removed from the head, hard case, and warranty card.

The off-center two-piece ash body is finished with an ultra-thin "Flash Coat Lacquer" without the final buffing, and weather checks and tiny dents have been recreated by relic processing.

The neck is a 'V' shaped 1950 Blackguard with the a compound radius of 7.25"-9.5 "R fingerboard. The pickups are equipped with Custom Shop Hand-Wound '50-'51 Blackguard signed "BP".

The controls are the '51 Modded Nocaster Wiring, which allows for neck blending when the bridge is selected, and when Position 3 is selected, the tone is not as extremely suppressed as previous vintage wiring.
