Gibson Custom Shop 2022 Murphy Lab 1957 Les Paul Light Aged Dark Back
The "1957 Les Paul Ultra Light Aged" model has been aged by Murphy Lab, a team specializing in aging led by Tom Murphy, a founding member of the Gibson Custom Shop and a leading aging expert.
The Ultra Light Aged finish replicates a vintage guitar that has been carefully stored in a case with weather checks and minor damage.
The all hide-gluing and parts have been carried over from True Historic series, including vintage tapered pots and bumblebee-type oil capacitors.
The neck is a Chunky C shape, slightly slimmer than the previous '57, with vintage-style narrow-tall frets and un-potted Custombucker pickups. The tuners have been replaced.
The frets are not dented and have over 90% remaining, and the neck and truss rod are in good condition.
