1980 Gibson SONEX-180 DELUXE with multiphonic body
The Gibson SONEX-180 DELUXE features a multiphonic body made of compressed wood, which is strong, dense, and produces excellent sustain and a strong attack. The neck is a bolt-on mahogany neck that produces a fast sound with a high attack and sustain. The pickups are Gibson's original high-output humbucking pickups, which produce a hard and powerful sound that goes well with distortion. The special body and bolt-on construction give this model a different Gibson sound from conventional Les Paul models.
