EMMA is a Danish garage manufacturer founded by Jan Behncke, who was once involved in pedal production at TC Electronic. This is the second generation model, and while the raw distortion of the original model remains unchanged, the tone now has two bands, high and low, for more versatility. As the bias control is turned up, higher harmonics spring up and provide a glossy feedback. Although it does not produce much high frequency, it is a great pedal that combines fatness and color. The internal circuitry is completely molded in resin.
