Fender Custom Shop 2007 Rory Gallagher Stratocaster
The "Rory Gallagher Stratocaster" model is a reproduction of the '61 Stratocaster that Irish blues-rock guitarist Rory Gallagher acquired at age 15 and used as his main guitar on stage for the rest of his life.
Every detail of the Stratocaster has been recreated to the specifications of the original, from the body finish, which has been worn and stripped over the years, to the medium jumbo frets, Sparzel tuners (Gotoh locking pegs on the 6th string), and the string guides on the 3rd and 4th strings, which have been added. Three Custom-Wound '60s single coils are installed.
A replica of Lorrie's signature is marked on the back of the head.
The nut has been replaced, conductive paint has been applied inside the cavity, and the selector switch has been changed to a 5-point switch.
There is no fret wear and frets have about 80% remaining. There are no problems with the neck and truss rod.
