1965 Fender® Mustang® Age-Faded Blue, Very Good, Hard, $1,850.00

Here we have a 1965 Mustang in great shape with all of its original parts! The finish, originally blue, has faded to a nice greenish-blue color shade. The white pearloid pickguard has also aged nicely. The original angle set Mustang pickups are chock full o’ twangy goodness. This ’65 sports the larger headstock Fender switched to post-1964, along with the “F-key” white plastic tip tuners. There is a single volume and tone with dual slider switches for “on/off/phase”. The neck plate reads a serial of L23731. The Mustang sports a 24” neck scale with a 1 5/8th” width nut. The 22 frets have a bit of playwear but this guitar still plays great. It has been set-up by our in-house tech for optimal playability and intonation. The body has playwear throughout the body, including a few dings in the top as well as checking and paint chipping, especially along the sides and back of the body. At one point it looks like a previous owner had written the word “TWANGY” in tape across the back of the body. The tape wore into the original finish so that there is still a yellowed impression of the phrase visible. Overall this is a fantastic Mustang with a great sound and a gorgeous vintage look!
