Bay Area Vintage Guitars proudly presents a standout collector's gem: The 1994 Fender Stratocaster 40th Anniversary Playboy Marilyn Monroe Custom Shop Guitar includes ALL case candy and a heavy-duty original hardshell flight case. This exceptional piece is numbered 29 out of a limited series of 175 guitars. Playboy Marilyn Monroe
The story of this Guitar begins in 1953 with the first issue of Playboy magazine, which featured Marilyn Monroe and set the standard for iconic glamour. Continuing this legacy, the Guitar was crafted by the skilled artisans of the Fender Custom Shop, led by John Page. California artist Pamelina H., known for her masterful airbrush and paintbrush techniques and for creating the Fender Custom Shop logo, hand-painted each of these guitars. Her work vividly brings to life Marilyn Monroe's charisma right on the face of the Guitar, surrounded by a complement of gold-plated hardware.
The Guitar also has unique features like LeRoy Neiman's Femlin character on the headstock and Art Paul's Playboy rabbit-head logo inlays highlight the maple fingerboard.
Ranked as the #2 Fender Custom Shop Strat in the Fender Custom Shop Guitar Gallery and featured prominently on pages 122-123, this Guitar is not just an instrument but a piece of art. It remains in mint condition and has a certificate of authenticity, a luscious red Playboy leather guitar strap, a gold whammy bar and bridge cover, and other case candy.
This exquisite instrument is presented in an SKB form-fit hardshell case, accompanied by a red satin bag inspired by Hugh Hefner's famous smoking jacket, and includes a 100% genuine leather gig bag.
This historic Guitar combines cultural significance, artistic beauty, and exclusivity, making it an irresistible acquisition.
