2006 Historic Collection 1959 Les Paul Murphy Aged
This is a 1959 Les Paul Reissue Aged model, aged by Tom Murphy.
The one-piece flame maple top has some flecks and is finished in Sunrise Tea Burst, with an aged finish that reproduces moderate weather checks and dents, giving it the outstanding look of a vintage guitar that has gained its own character over the years.
The pickups are a different age Burstbucker #1 on the neck and an original Burstbucker #2, and both pickup covers have been replaced.
The tailpiece has also been replaced. (Aluminium, manufacturer unknown).
There is some damage to the back, including reddish shade fading and dents that do not appear to be due to the aged finish.
The frets have been very slightly dented around the low position of the plain strings, but overall about 80-90% remaining, and the neck and truss rod are both in good condition.
