2008 Gibson SG 61 Reissue Protocaster Makeover Pelham Blue, Very Good, Hard, $2,499.00

This is one of our Protocaster Makeover guitars. It is a 61 reissue SG Standard that was trans red. We had Josh Grove at Protocaster Guitars strip the finish and shoot it in 100% period correct nitrocellulose lacquer and do his amazing aging to it. We also had him reshape the headstock to be historically accurate. We removed the 57 classics it had and pit in an amazing set of Peter Florance Voodoo 59's which sound incredible. It is very light and resonant. Stripping that thick non period correct finish and changing the pickups really made this guitar come alive!!!!!!
