Original 1953 Les Paul Goldtop with a Trap bridge that has been converted to 1957 PAF specs. This one is patterned after Joe Satriani's "Snatch" conversion. The conversion started with an original 1953 Gibson Les Paul Goldtop that had no breaks, cracks or repairs. The top carve on this guitar is deep and very distinguishable. Lightly aged finish with just the right amount of checking.

Conversion work includes: Neck reset, neck tenon changed to 4 degrees, plug and route for humbuckers, guitar weighs 8lbs 6 oz. Original woods to the guitar: (mahogany body, maple top, mahogany neck. A new Brazilian fingerboard with nitrate inlays has been added. The Gibson MOP has been raised to higher position and a new holly headstock veneer installed, the cracked binding replaced with Bartlett binding.

Original Parts Include: Strap buttons, truss rod cover, toggle switch, tip & harness, Pickguard bracket, Trap End Plate, P-90 Neck pickup, Original 50's PAF in bridge position

Repro parts are: Kluson tuners, ABR1 Bridge & Featherweight tailpiece, ThroBak M69 Pickup Ring, Retrospec 1” bushings and 1-1/2" studs, Jescar 57110 Frets, Ivory tusk nut, CTS Premium pots, Luxe Bumble Bee caps, Pickguard, Backplates, HS Case
