(see photos) Musicians often asked the team at AER for a system for acoustic instruments that provides AER sound and quality everywhere… without having to be plugged in to normal AC power for those situations like outdoor gigs where power isn't easily available, and using a generator would cause unwanted noise. The Compact Mobile 2 provides just such a solution. Based on the very popular Compact 60 line of amps, and thus identical in sound, but with adapted technology you can play without needing to be plugged in to AC for an average of three to four hours on a single charge. The Compact Mobile 2 is a professional, compact and powerful amplifier system. Especially developed for the enhancement of acoustic instruments it is nonetheless suitable for other instruments, and makes an especially great sounding jazz guitar amp. AER's design concept was focused on the singer-/songwriter who requires outstanding reproduction of his/her instrument and vocals yet needs a handy unit with a gigbag which is easily portable (even via public transport). AER sought to produce an amp that would accomplish this while astonishing audiences as well as sound-engineers through excellent sound and professional instrumentation. Throughout the years, the Compact 60 series of amps has become a standard in amplification, delivering the outstanding AER tone in nearly all possible situations. All AER-systems are subtly dynamically controlled, which ensures absolute reliability in full load operation despite strikingly small sizes and little weight. The new 4th Generation Compact 60/4 editions now feature a pre FX/post FX swtich for the direct signal, allowing the user to choose whether or not their direct signal incorporates the amp's onboard digital effects.
