This is a beautifully made modern squareneck that rings with bright, resonant tone and total clarity.

Tom Warner founded Appalachian Guitars in 2008. After making a splash with his beautiful instruments, Tom passed in 2020. Tony Langley continues Tom's legacy, and appears to be doing an exceptional job, judging by the look of the instruments he is putting out today.

This instrument was traded in by a customer who bought this and one other "Appy". He explained that this was the last one built by Tom, with final assembly likely handled by Tony.

The instrument is gorgeous. It is constructed completely of flamed maple, yet it is light and very lively. The tone is so, so good - it is really nice to hear a new resonator with a perfect cone (no rattle or buzz!).

There is a strategically placed, clear lexan sheet inside the guitar under the soundholes, angled up as it reaches the neck joint. This drives the internal sound right up at the player, adding to the presence and punch as you play.

The guitar is simple in appointment but the attention to detail is clear. It has been well cared for as well and is in near mint condition.

Included is the original case and a nice strap.
