Now with his focus on his own line of fully hand built b3's and no longer building for other brands, Gene is a force to be reckoned with. The attention to detail on each new b3 we've had in, is second to none. These are immaculate guitars that give you everything you love about vintage instruments; while bringing something new and honest to the table.
The SL 59 is certainly a LP killer, but it is also so much more than that. With its crisp lines, body contours and preparatory pickups, that could actually hang with the best of the old P.A.F's; there's little left to be desired after playing one of these beautiful creations. The setup is spot on, as is the neck profile. With a blindfold on you'd be hard pressed to tell the difference between this neck and a real 59 LP.
As with all of Gene's guitars, this SL is finished in an extremely light nitro lacquer and balances seated or standing beautifully. This piece is part of a limited run of 10 SL models with some unique features that you can read about below; such as the one piece Mahogany body, Brazilian Rosewood board and tortoise side dots. The Brockburst finish means that the finish has more of a Red hue to it than a standard Tobacco Burst.
Brazilin RW is no longer banned from international flights if it is part of an instrument, such as the fingerboard on a guitar. Only raw Brazilian Rosewood is banned from being shipped internationally. See text below for more info.
CITES: "Trading restrictions on rosewood have been revised by the relevant CITES committee allowing all ‘finished’ instruments with rosewood, all their parts and spares, to be traded freely. Returns on New items are accepted (unless noted in the description), and must occur within 4 days from when you receive the item.
