1984 BC Rich Bich: The original sales receipt is date 05/01/1984 bearing serial # 88339. This is my wife Mary Ellen Harts instrument that she used as a backup to her main BC Rich when playing professionally. One evening at a gig it was knocked over causing what I call 2 STRESS CRACKS at on the top and bottom of the head stock. I refer to them as STRESS CRACKS, because they have not moved in DECADES. If not for that mishap I would say the instrument is very well preserved for 30 years.
The instrument was ordered without the micro switches being wired. In short the guitar works very traditionally with 2 vol, 2 tone and 1 3 way switch. The Grover tuners are precise and the EMG pickup sound amazing! The neck is slim and fast and the guitar weighs 8lbs. I have to say these are very evenly weighted. Other than the knobs not being original (To this day she puts Tele knobs on everything) and the lil BC Rich peel off sticker the guitar is how it was built. The trem arm is included along with the original hard shell case. More photos upon request.
