This model is a beautiful revival of the "JOHN HORNBY SKEWES/ZONK MACHINE", which was released in 1965 and was said to be identical in appearance and circuitry to the TONE BENDER MK1. It is characterized by a very greasy and warm tone with an elegant balance of smoothness and sharpness, and is best suited for guitars with humbuckers, but can be used with any pickup if you are looking for a natural gated fuzz sound. This is a rare model that you will almost never find in Japan. It is a beautiful item with little use.
