High-Performance Wireless Technology from BOSS
Katana-Air features low-latency digital wireless guitar technology developed by BOSS, providing transparent sound and ultra-quick response without any lag or dropouts. The included custom wireless transmitter plugs into any electric guitar and has indicators for power and battery status. A convenient docking port in the amp charges the battery in the transmitter, providing up to 12 hours of total playing time per charge.
Always Ready to Play
Whenever inspiration strikes, Katana-Air is always ready to go. It operates in standby mode to conserve energy when idle and instantly wakes when the transmitter senses motion. Just leave the transmitter connected to your guitar and turn the amp on simply by picking up the instrument! And when you stop playing, the transmitter returns to standby mode to conserve your charge. In addition, the transmitter automatically establishes the optimum wireless connection when docked for charging, so there’s no complicated setup required.

Equipped with the same tones and sound-shaping controls found in the performance-class Katana amplifiers, Katana-Air offers inspiring sounds for any style. Five unique amp characters provide a wide range of tones, from sparkling clean to BOSS’s custom high-gain Brown sound. There’s even an Acoustic character optimized for playing acoustic-electric guitar. The amp also provides integrated access to over 50 BOSS effects, including mod, delay, reverb effects optimized for Katana-Air’s stereo speaker system. And with six onboard memories, you can store and recall your favorite amp and effects setups at any time.
BOSS Tone Studio for iOS and Android Devices
Katana-Air is made even more powerful with its support for external wireless operation via Bluetooth. Available for iOS and Android devices, the dedicated BOSS Tone Studio app gives you complete control of Katana-Air right from your smartphone or tablet. You’re able to adjust all the amp’s panel controls and access effects types and routings that are only available from the app. You can also save setups to the amp’s memories, organize sound libraries on your device, and download free patch collections directly from BOSS Tone Central.
Listen to Your Favorite Music and Play Along
Katana-Air is a true stereo amplifier with two custom-tuned speakers and up to 30 watts of total power, delivering big, rich sound for both guitar amplification and full-range music reproduction. Music Production and Silent Practice
Katana-Air also includes a stereo headphones/recording output with guitar cabinet simulation. This lets you directly record pro-quality amp tones and effects in music production software and enjoy inspiring stereo sound when practicing quietly with headphones. It’s even possible to adjust the cab simulation’s mic position with the Air Feel control in the BOSS Tone Studio app.
Wireless Foot Control with the EV-1-WL
The optional EV-1-WL Wireless MIDI Expression Pedal takes the Katana-Air experience even further, allowing you to remotely operate functions that you set up in the BOSS Tone Studio app. For example, you can use the pedal to control volume, then engage the wah effect with a press of the toe switch. And by connecting up to two footswitches to the EV-1-WL, you can assign and control functions such as patch up/down and on/off for different effects.
The EV-1-WL also works as a MIDI control pedal for mobile music apps, computer music software, and all types of MIDI hardware.

Packaging and Shipping Information Due to conditions beyond our control (weather, shipper's handling etc.) some boxes that products originally come in cannot be re-used to ship out to customers. In those rare cases we will remove and inspect all items and repackage them in acceptable boxing to make it safe to you. To request a Return Authorization Number (RA Number), please email info@bananas.com with your full name, order number, item that you are returning, and what type of return you would like us to process - either exchange for the same item, exchange for another item, or return for refund. In addition, if you can include the reason for your return, and any other comments, that would be appreciated. Once we process your RA request, we will send you a Return Authorization Number, and instructions on how to return the item. Return and Customer Satisfaction Policy: Any item (other than as noted below) purchased from Bananas at Large online store may be returned, within 45 days of the shipment date, for a full refund of the purchase price minus shipping costs, or for exchange or credit.
