BOOSTIEST II
This is a famous booster/overdrive from the amp maker "Burriss" in Lexington, Kentucky, U.S.A.! 2010 NAMM show model.
The front booster and rear overdrive can be used independently. The booster consists of three controls: INPUT, HIGHS, and OUTPUT. The INPUT gain can be adjusted for the best setting according to the instrument and pickup type, while the HIGHS control adds an edge to the high frequency range. The HIGHS control adds an edge to the highs. It can be set from a clean boost to a coarse, edgy treble boost like the RANGE MASTER. The overdrive is a TS type, which produces a fine distortion and makes the sound moderately tight. When used with a booster, it is possible to create a wild drive sound. The back of the guitar is labeled "2010 NAMM Show," so it is likely that this model was sold at the show. This is a pre-II model, prior to the Model 2.5, which is currently not widely available on the used market, and is now almost impossible to find in Japan.
The noise is due to the specification of the pot.
