1995 Carl Thompson 6 String Custom Bass Natural

Single owner 1995 Carl Thompson 6 String Custom Bass in excellent condition with no signs of wear. This bass was custom ordered by a customer of ours who gave Carl free reign to build the bass he wanted to build with no stipulations or limitations and this was what Carl came up with. Curly maple top which was harvested from the Thompson family farm, walnut back, rosewood fingerboard with dyed Paduak laminations, Bubinga headstock, rosewood bridge and adjustable saddles, one active EMG pickup with one volume, one tone, and a 3 band EQ. Carl is renowned for his distinctive aesthetic sense, and for building instruments for a number of notable musicians including Les Claypool and Anthony Jackson. Nut width is 2 3/32", neck profile is 0.87" at the first fret, 0.93" at the 12th fret. Fingerboard is 2 1/2" wide at the 5th fret, 2 31/32" at the 12th fret. Weight is 8.42lbs. Comes with a Calzone flight case, a gig bag, and several sets of Carl Thompson 6-string bass strings.
