Description:
Offered for sale:
Used c1997 Carvin Bolt-T solid body electric guitar.
This guitar is in very good condition. The body appears to have been refinished. The neck and frets are fine, cosmetically there are a few minor scratches or marks, overall, quite nice. The tremolo has a missing set screw. The screw should be easy to get but we have not contacted Wilkinson at this time.
The Bolt guitars are Carvin’s “Strat-style” offering and were sold as a complete guitar or kit.
This guitar may have been originally purchased as a kit and a tung oil finished applied by the original owner
There were numerous upgrades available from stock, including the Wilkinson tremolo bridge, C22T bridge humbucker with coil tap, and Sperzel locking tuners.
We believe that this guitar was assembled from a kit due to the plain headstock. The fully assembled guitars had a Carvin logo on the headstock.
Carvin guitars have always been interesting, they were direct marketed to the buyer hence they offered a great deal of content and quality for a lower cost. The graphite reinforced necks are very nicely done and play very smoothly. The electronics are also quite high quality including their own pickups.
Original hard-shell case included.
“We carefully inspect every instrument when we buy it and bring it up to our standards before we offer it for sale. We also do a full set up before we ship. If you decide to purchase this guitar, please let us know what gauge strings you prefer.”
This guitar was donated to Hungry For Music, an organization that gets instruments into the hands of underprivileged kids. When they get pro guitars, we sell them and buy student guitars for Hungry For Music to distribute to kids around the country and the world.

*Please note: we do our best giving descriptions of used pieces. We have found it impossible to describe every mark on an instrument or amp that is not in the "mint" category. Also, what's important to you may not be important to someone else. For example, you may say, "I don't care what it looks like as long as it plays or sounds well." Another person may say, "Body cosmetics are very important to me so tell me about every scratch, nick and blemish." So, please ask the questions that are most important to you. If you ask they will be answered. They are free and there's no limit. Additional photos can also be made available.
This is a specific item that is also being offered for sale in our brick & mortar location. It is possible that it has just been sold. Please ask if it is still available before purchasing.
