DESCRIPTION
To be or not to be! For your consideration a 1980s Charvel 2B Bass in black. In 1978 Grover Jackson bought Charvel from Wayne Charvel then in 1986 Grover started manufacturing Charvel/Jackson guitars in Japan. I don’t know about you but this bass makes me wanna start a metal band! I find myself day dreaming about laying down some fast bass lines as someone shreds a wicked solo. This 2B is just 80s through and through.
Specs! This bass is all original and in very good condition. The nut width measures 1-5/8″. The maple neck has a depth of .82″ at the first fret and .94″ at the twelfth fret. Rosewood fingerboard has a radius of about 14″. Action measures 5/64″. The 21 original jumbo frets are in excellent condition. Bass wood body finished in black. Jackson P-J pick up style. Original electronics, knobs are volume-pick up pan-tone. Bridge is a Jackson Badass clone. Comes with a hard shell case. Weighs 9 pounds and 10 ounces.
What more do you need? 80s check, made in Japan check, Shredder check! This bass would look amazing on stage. Perfect for any style metal band whether Hair, Doom, Prog, the choice is yours! The action is set up super fast. Get the best of both world with the P-J set up. Pan control makes it easy to blend the two. Lean into the P style for more bass and mids great for rhythm and riffs. Switch to the J for more treble and articulation perfect for fast bass lines that need more definition. Just a killer bass!
