2015 Collings MT Mandola Sunburst

Excellent condition, plays very well and with a unique and wonderful sound. A-style mandola with a satin nitrocellulose lacquer dark sunburst finish, tuned a fifth below a mandolin (comparable to a viola), solid Adirondack spruce top with tone bar bracing, Eastern flamed maple back, sides, and neck (rounded V profile), unbound ebony fingerboard with MOP dots, ebony bridge with adjustable saddle, dovetail neck joint, ivoroid body binding, added nickel Waverly tuners, ebony peghead veneer with inlaid MOP Collings logo, and a professionally-installed pickguard. Scale length is 15.9”, compound radius running from 7” to 15”, 1 & 5/16” nut width and string spacing of 1 & 11/16” at the bridge. Complex and detailed tone in an unusual range, sonorous and striking, and would make for an amazing addition to a studio collection.
