Description

With superb craftsmanship, choice of materials and attention to detail, Collings guitars are among the finest instruments available on the market today. This OM2H T is in excellent condition and features a sitka spruce top, east indian rosewood back and sides and a honduran majogany neck (an enduringly popular combination with rich overtones and a powerful bass response). "The Traditional Series or "T-Series” guitars represent an exciting vintage-inspired tonal variation on the distinctive Collings sound. In developing the Traditional series, great care was taken to maintain the power, balance, and clarity that makes the Collings voice unique while adjusting aspects of the design that contribute to the warm, rounded highs, present low midrange, and open feel showcased throughout the T-Series lineup."

This one also features premium waverly open-gear tuners and a beautiful binding of ivoroid with herringbone purfling. OHSC included.

From The Collings Website

" 'OM' stands for "Orchestra Model," but 80 years after this bodyshape was first designed it has become the most popular 14-fret modelwith fingerstyle guitar soloists who choose to play on steel strings. Yetflatpickers also find it appealing, and when the graceful cutaway is addedthese OMs are often used by lead players who routinely explore all 20 frets much as they would on an electric guitar. The compact shape makes the Collings OM equally easy to handle onstage or when sitting on the couch, and the relatively shallow body (barely over 4 inches deep) results in balanced tone and an immediate response."
