[Overview]
Kenon flugelhorn with 152mm two-piece yellow brass bells. Lacquer finish. Mouthpiece receiver with straight shank(*). Instrument weight 1095 grams, manufactured around 1977. Included: soft case for flugelhorn.
Please use a mouthpiece with a straight shank. A mouthpiece with a tapered shank will not give the full performance of the instrument.
[Condition.]
There is a dent at the base of the bell tube. Dent repair at the bell flare (lacquer peeling). There are some scratches on the side of the bell flare, bell base, and the side of the first pipe with peeling paint. The inside of the pipe has been cleaned, soft parts replaced, and serviced. Piston action and airtightness are good.
[Features]
The back curve of the bell has a so-called "backboneThe Old Kenon 140 model is equipped with a so-called "backbone" (Reinforce) in the rear curve of the bell. The straight shank Old Kenon has a slightly wider pitch range, so pitch control is a little more severe, but the soft enunciation and warm, airy tone are uniquely appealing.
