This is a FUZZ FACE with TELEFUNKEN BC108C specifications from the late '60s to early '70s!
The Fuzz Face, which appeared in late '66, initially used a PNP germanium transistor NKT275, but the specification was changed to NPN silicon transistor BC108 (BC109, BC183L, etc. are also confirmed) in the late '60s. Also, several variations in housing and color can be seen.' In 1968, Arbiter merged with Dallas Music, known for the Rangemaster, and became known as "DALLAS-ARBITER ENGLAND. In 1975, the company was acquired by CBS. This model is estimated to be a late '60s to early '70s model equipped with a TELEFUNKEN BC108C under the name "DALLAS-ARBITER-ENGLAND. The silicon transistor BC108 has more gain than the NKT275, and when the Fuzz control is turned up gradually, a fat and powerful sound hits you. The sustain that extends to any length and the bouncy sound are exactly what you would expect from a classic that has survived the early days of rock music in the '60s and '70s. The clean sound when the guitar volume is turned down is also full of flavor, and a wide range of sound variations can be expected.
As for the condition of this unit, the knobs, pots, and battery snap have been replaced. The wiring material for the pot on the FUZZ control side is shorter than usual, so the board is installed in the opposite direction. However, there are no changes to the circuit board, so the sound is intact. Original fuzz faces have been hard to come by in recent years, and it remains to be seen at what price we will be able to offer this one, regardless of any replacement parts.
