Danelectro Hodad Blue Sparkle with Tweed Hardshell Case

Summary: This Danelectro has 4 lipstick tube pickups wired up like 2 humbuckers with coil-splitting and out-of-phase options for each pickup via the tone knobs! The blue sparkle finish looks awesome and the D branded vibrato unit operates flawlessly and keeps its tune really well thanks to the Gotoh roller-bridge and tuners. It has just been setup by our in-house luthier and ships in an ‘80s Fender style tweed hardshell case with red plush interior.

Body: Masonite top and back with poplar frame, blue sparkle finish and white tolex tape siding.

Neck: Maple neck with rosewood fingerboard, 22 frets, pearl dots, 25” scale length and 1 5/8” nut width.

Pickups/Hardware: 2 humbuckers made of 4 lipstick tube pickups, 3 way toggle, 2 volumes and 2 tones. The tone knobs push/pull for coil splitting and out-of-phase. It has a Gotoh roller bridge, Gotoh tuners and D branded vibrato unit.

Cosmetics: This guitar in in excellent used condition with only a very small amount of fretwear and a few small scuffs on the back plate.

Playability: Our in-house guitar tech has just inspected, setup and restrung this guitar with a new set of 10s. The neck is straight, the truss rod is fully functioning and the action has been setup low and comfortable. The frets are in great shape with only minor wear from use and it plays beautifully up and down the fingerboard with no dead spots or choking out.
