What we have here is one gorgeous instrument in an iconic sunburst finish that sits at the top of the hollowbody food chain. There's a good reason D'Angelico instruments are so revered and highly sought-after... the quality is just unbelievable, and why would anyone want to pay two to three times the price for an inferior, big-box equivalent? We were totally taken aback by the incredible resonance and playability of this guitar - the neck is fast and comfortable, and the notes have a sweet, warm sustain that seems to hang for days. With the combination of the killer neck pickup and the timeless design, feedback is not an issue regardless of volume. Also, we were really impressed with how loud this guitar was when played acoustically - if you're ever practicing at bedroom volumes, it's the ideal instrument as it still produces plenty of volume without disturbing the neighbors.

Designed as a “streamlined” revision of the NYL-2 model, the NYL-6 Special features modest rectangular, mother-of-pearl inlays instead of split-blocks (save for the 12th-fret inlay) as well as less binding and a slightly lower-grade maple in the neck than its predecesor."

RETURN POLICY - At Distinctive Guitar customer satisfaction is our top priority. We are happy to offer you a 48hr approval period on all orders (excludes custom orders and layaways). Return arrangements must be made within 48 hours of receipt and must be authorized by Distinctive Guitar prior to shipment. Refunds on approved returns will be made in-full less shipping costs both ways and applicable credit card fees. Feel free to use your refund in-full on another "In Stock Item". In limited circumstances, returns outside the 48 hour approval window may be considered but are subject to a 15% re-stocking fee. Trades are considered final sale due to the large amount of shipping fees and risk associated with a trade transaction. We are happy to discuss approval prior to trading if required.
