~2001 D'Angelico NYL-4 Owned by Russell Malone Natural
2000-2002 D'Angelico New Yorker NYL-4 Model 18" Archtop Owned and played extensively by the late Jazz Great Russell Malone with his name inlaid at the 19th Fret (see Photos). This is a beautiful sounding guitar setup with low action but since it was heavily played may require a fret dress. There are 2 top cracks pro repaired recently by Archtop repairman LeRoy Aiello of Aiello Guitars Pt Pleasant NJ. Russell was a steady customer having LeRoy repair many of his guitars. One crack runs the length of the top from the fingerboard extension past the bass side of the pickup, bridge & tailpiece. The other is under the pickguard and runs about 6 inches from the forward end of the soundhole to just a little past the pickguard. These are shown in the photos and have all been cleated and repaired and totally stable. It is my understanding that Russell owned numerous Vestax DA's but this may be the only one with his name inlaid. Perhaps it was going to be a Signature Model? If you loved Russell's work (as I do!) this would make a glorious addition to your guitar collection. Includes original Hard Shell Case.

No returns on International Sales. Buyer may return an instrument for any reason immediately following the 24 hour approval period and must contact GCG immediately for Return Authorization. Instruments must be returned no later than 7 business days after the 24 hour approval period and from the time Return Authorization is issued. Buyer is responsible for all shipping and Insurance Costs. Full refund will be given after Instrument is returned and inspected. Refund will be returned in the same method that the buyer paid for the instrument. In addition to all Shipping costs, there is a 20% restocking fee for any shipments that buyer refused or is returned undeliverable by UPS/Fed Ex or any other Carrier used.
