1991 Dobro Square neck w/ohsc
Summary: This 1991 Square-neck Dobro has just been set up and restrung by our in house guitar tech. We cleaned the sound-well and cone, and tensioned the screw in the spider bridge just right for optimal sustain and volume! It is in overall great shape and sound superb for bluegrass, country, blues or Hawaiian. It ships in its original hard shell case which is also in great shape.
Body: Laminate maple body construction with f holes and a sunburst finish.
Neck: Maple square-neck with rosewood fretboard, slotted headstock, pearl dots and 3 on a plate tuners with white buttons.
Hardware: Chrome cover-plate and tailpiece, aluminum cone with #14 spider bridge and maple saddles.
Cosmetics: This Dobro is in overall great shape but does have some minor cosmetic blemishes. There are a few dings in the finish on the headstock and body and some hazy discoloration in the finish in some places but it’s overall a fantastic player and it looks really nice.
Playability: This Dobro has been setup and restrung with a set of 17 gauge strings by our in house luthier. The cone and sound-well have been cleaned and the screw in the spider-bridge and cone has been adjusted for optimal tone.
Modifications: It is all original save for the tailpiece which we just replaced. The original tailpiece broke but it is in the case.
