Introducing the new Duesenberg Alliance Series Joe Walsh Signature model, this one in the fantastic Goldburst finish. After many years of working with Joe Walsh Duesenberg began a project in alliance to build a guitar that met the special tone that was hidden in his ear. The difference between the 60’s single coil and classic rock tone that very few guitars have achieved. "What’s not to like about sitting in a hotel room with Mr. Joe Walsh and talk guitars? Seriously though, meeting Joe was a real privilege. The result of our collaboration is a truly unique instrument directly fitted to Joe’s needs but made for everyone. The Joe Walsh Alliance Series features numerous different details connected to Joe’s style or history. The fretboard inlays spell his name in morsecode, referencing his passion for radio operation and the Tibetan Knot between both pickups is a symbol of very personal meaning to Joe which he also carries as a tattoo." The new DAC-JW has its roots in Duesenberg's Fullerton TV body, but with some very cool modifications. Duesenberg has developed a thin line body similar to their Elite series. In combination with this new shape they designed a custom Little Toaster for the bridge and an HSC Single Twin pickup in the neck position. From the custom headstock to the elegant gold and silver accents on the radiator tremolo and pickups, they have also added a special feature in tribute to Joe’s passion in Ham Radio with a morse-code message. Semi-Hollow Construction:: The Joe Walsh Alliance Series features an unusual extra slim semi-hollow construction. Besides the unique semi-hollow tone, this makes the guitar handle more like a thin solid-body. Pickups: The LittleToaster mini-humbucker and SingleTwin Mini noiseless singlecoil deliver an extremely open, responsive and transparent tone. They are one of the most curious combinations in the Duesenberg lineup. The LittleToaster pickup delivers transparent treble tone in the bridge position and the state-of-the-art noise-cancelling Duesenberg SingleTwin Mini gives clear classic neck sounds in any situation. Plek Processed: A pleked fretboard guarantees perfectly level frets. This is the basis for Duesenberg's fret polishing and setup work, all done by hand that eventually makes their instruments play like nothing you have ever played before. Being a serious guitarhead himself, Joealso likes to mess around with the hardware of his guitars, often resulting in weird hardware finish mixes. So for this reason the hardware of the Alliance Joe Walsh is a mix of nickel and gold. The Duesenberg Radiator Tremola is the evolution of Duesenberg's own legendary vibrato system design. It keeps everything that you love about about their original Diamond Deluxe Vibrato and delivers it in a new and exciting design. Of course they also added custom gold accents on the vibrato for Joe's personal model. Buttery smooth action, reliable tuning stability and string changes that are a breeze are just the main aspects of our unique vibrato design. Heavy duty needle and nylon bearings give you the highly responsive Duesenberg feel when using the vibrato arm. The arm itself can be turned freely for 360° and can be adjusted to your preferred angle and length. The strings are simply guided through the holes in the bar underneath the arm-axis and can be lead to the tuners without any hassle. Handsome, laid-back and simply a good place for your instrument: Meet the Duesenberg Custom Line Cases. True flightcase quality, classically shaped, beautifully handcrafted and made to endure the most realistic and unrealistic abuses. It's a case you can just throw in the back of a car, train or airplane and won't have to worry about. Photos are of one from our inventory, individual color and grain will vary from guitar to guitar.
