Our hometown of Chicago used to be the known as "catalog capital of the world." Anyone who got their hands on a Sears catalog could pick something out, and they'd ship it to you, wherever you were in the world! Needless to say it was a great town to set up shop in you were a manufacturer. Harmony was one such company, building guitars that left their factory with an innumerable number of names on the headstock. This is most certainly a Harmony built archtop but has a bit of an identity crisis, being branded as an Eddie on the headstock but with a pickguard from a Marwin. An early owner probably broke or lost his pickguard and went in to his local Marwin department store to get a new one.

This one is a gem. Plays great, sounds exactly what you want and expect a vintage Harmony archtop to sound like. Big neck, but not huge, real easy to get around on. We've got the action pretty low and there's still some room to lower the bridge a bit so the neck set is spot on. There some cosmetic wear as you'd expect but nothing out of the norm going on other than a clean and solid repair on the side of the body. We're happy to say it has a clean bill of health going forward. It sounds as beautiful as it looks too. Great for jazz or rootsy stuff. Pairs nicely with a voice if you want to track them together.

25" scale, 1-11/16" wide at the nut, 16" lower bout.
