Used EMG HSH pickup set with harness, pots, switch and battery connector.

This set is in very good condition, fully functional.

The 2 humbuckers are EMG 89s. Typically the middle single coil pickup would be a model SA but the markings don’t actually say that. EMG tells us that it is actually a model S and that it was probably custom ordered.

Featuring two pickups in one, the 89 houses separate preamps and coils for a custom humbucker and single coil sound at your fingertips. Loaded with Alnico V magnets, the humbucker sound is rich, warm and powerful, but still clear and articulate, similar to the 85.

The single coil mode, accessed via the included push pull pot, delivers the traditional Strat single coil sound: bright, airy, and chimey, and is very similar to the EMG SA. In either mode, the clean sound is gorgeously pristine and has a lot of presence. Used equally in bridge and neck positions. Whether you are playing hard rock or jazz, you can get it all with this beautifully balanced and versatile pickup.

S

The S Pickup is the ceramic version of the original SA pickup. If you love the sound of a bright and clear single-coil pickup, but hate the hum, then we have what you’ve been searching for. The ceramic bar magnet provides a balanced guitar tone, especially during big string bends. The S has plenty of output to give your sound top end sizzle while maintaining solid lows with articulation and presence. Whether you are playing jazz, country, metal or blues, the versatility is undeniable.

Unlike most single coil pickups, EMG's internal shielding and a low impedance preamp makes this pickup virtually noiseless while maintaining an authentic single coil sound.
