This is a great playing and sounding Epiphone Coronet that was made in the USA by Gibson in 1961. The Epiphone Coronet is essentially a SG Junior in a different package - different body design, but same wrap bridge, and same screaming P-90. As an instrument this is a fabulous example, it is lightweight, resonant, and the pickup sounds great. As you can see in the pictures, the serial number on this is unusually large, which indicates a guitar that was sent back to the factory, and close inspection reveals that this guitar had a heel repair. Our best guess is that this guitar was damaged very early on in life, possible when it was originally shipped to a store, and then renecked by Gibson and given a large stamp. The guitar has been pro-setup and plays great. Aside from the repair work the guitar is completely original. It comes with a non original hard shell case.
