This Epiphone Cortez was made by Gibson in the USA in 1963. The Cortez model is structurally identical to the B-25, just has a Epiphone brand name and a different shape headstock. This example is in nice shape for its age and plays beautifully. Oddly enough for an Epiphone guitar that dates to 1963 it has a great feeling 1 9/16ths nut width neck that is a joy to play. The guitar has been pro-setup and needs nothing. The guitar has a repaired crack in the top between the pickguard and bridge. The crack was repaired with wood filler. It has an original dealer sticker on the headstock indicating that it originally sold at Ziegler Music in Aurora Illinois. It comes with the original grey soft shell case.
