This Epiphone Crestwood was made by Gibson in the USA in 1960. This is an extremely rare transitional version of the Crestwood that came right after the thick "slab" bodied version that was made in 1959. By late 1960 the Crestwood had nickel hardware and a Maestro Vibrola but a few, like this, were made with gold hardware and a stop tailpiece. We have only seen two Crestwoods in this configuration. Sadly this example has a repaired headstock. The break was nasty, but the repair is completely solid. The bridge and tailpiece are tuners are repro parts but everything else is original - most importantly the original PAF pickups that sound fantastic. The guitar plays and sounds fantastic. It comes with a non original hard case.
