Description

Offered for sale:

Vintage 1967 E360TD Epiphone Riviera serial number 053426 in Royal Tan Finish.

The serial number indicates 1967 and the 4 numbers that I can read on the 7digit pot code are 13767xx making that a 1967.

Some say Royal Tan is “... a bright two-tone red/yellow sunburst. This remained the model’s only finish option until 1965 when a darker three-tone brown/red/yellow sunburst referred to as “shaded” was offered concurrently.”
Is there enough brown and then red around the perimeter to qualify as “Shaded”? That’s what I’m thinking.
Call it what you will, the finish is really quite beautiful.

This guitar is in very good condition, neck and frets are fine. Cosmetically showing moderate playing wear with quite extensive fine finish checking both on the body and back of the neck. The binding is in overall good condition with one crack noted and there are minor marks about the body. Overall, the guitar has been well cared for and presents quite well with the patina expected from its age.

Features include two patent number mini humbucking pickups, Epiphone Frequensator Tailpiece, Chrome hardware, Maple body, Mahogany neck, bound Brazilian rosewood fingerboard with parallelogram celluloid inlays, long style headstock, Kluson Deluxe Tuners, and Bonnet style volume and tone knobs. The knobs appear to be original. The toggle switch knob is not.

This is a beautiful vintage Rivera, these are now available as a reissue, own an original!

Non-original Hard-shell case included.

We acquired this Riviera with a ‘70s Byrdland case. It protects the guitar just fine but it is an inch too large.

We also happen to have a late ‘60s high end, padded “chip board” case. (see photos) It is not included. But, if you wish, for another $100.00 for shipping, we will include.

We carefully inspect every instrument when we buy it and bring it up to our standards before we offer it for sale. We also do a full set up before we ship.

If you decide to purchase this guitar, please let us know what gauge strings you prefer.

*Please note: we do our best giving descriptions of used pieces.

We have found it difficult to describe (and sometimes impossible to photograph) every single mark/blemish/imperfection on an instrument or amp that we offer.

Also, what's important to you may not be important to someone else. For example, you may say, "I don't care what it looks like as long as it plays or sounds well." Another person may say, "Body cosmetics are very important to me so tell me about every scratch, nick and blemish."

So, please ask the questions that are most important to you. If you ask, they will be answered. They are free and there's no limit. Additional photos can also be made available.

This is a specific item that is also being offered for sale in our brick & mortar location. It is possible that it has just been sold. Please ask if it is still available before purchasing.

*It is our policy to require a signature on delivery of all musical instruments. Please let us know if you prefer no signature required when ordering or we will automatically require a signature.

If you prefer your item to be sent without a required signature Imperial Guitar and the selected carrier can no longer be responsible for the security of the package once it has been delivered.
