Here we have a recent Epiphone Embassy Standard V bass guitar. This would be a good option for anyone wanting to test the waters on playing 5 string bass. Why invest a fortune in a high-end 5 string only to find that it just doesn’t suit you? Here is a good solid bass with upgraded pickups that sounds and plays quite well. Certainly worthy of taking to the gig.
Basic Specs: Black tuners and other hardware. 1 13/16 inch nut width. Maple neck with a 34 inch scale length. Neck depth is .85 inches at the first fret and .93 inches at the twelfth fret. Rosewood fingerboard with dot markers and 24 jumbo frets in fine condition. 14 inch radius. Action is 5/64 on the low B and 4/64 on the high G. Ash body with high gloss transparent green that can appear black or brown in some lights. Very attractive regardless. Upgraded EMG Soapbar pickups and EMG pots with a 9V active system.
Weighing in at 10 pounds 7 ounces, it’s not a bass that everybody will want to gig with, but if you are strong of back or if you just need a 5 string for a few songs, you really should check out this Embassy Standard V bass. It’s a lot of bass for the money.
