Available now is a rare and completely stock 1975 Epiphone Riviera from the esteemed Matsumoku Factory in Japan. This Blue Label example boasts a vibrant Cherry stain, accentuated by a stunning rosewood fretboard with intricate grain patterns. It comes complete with a custom-shaped hardcase.
These Matsumoku Factory Rivieras, crafted exclusively for the Japanese market, are celebrated for their exceptional quality and are widely regarded as superior to their modern counterparts. This particular model is no exception, matching or even surpassing the fit and finish of its US-built cousins.
In terms of condition, our Riviera is in excellent shape, displaying the gentle wear indicative of a well-loved and meticulously maintained instrument. While there are occasional surface imperfections and minor non-wood bearing indents, as well as some light scraping on the headstock peak, these only add to the vintage allure of the Riviera, showcasing its history and care. In addition, an extra strap button hole has been cleanly drilled into the left horn.
The slim '60s C-shape maple neck continues with our Riviera's clean exterior, offering a smooth, uninterrupted feel. Though the frets show signs of use, they have been professionally dressed by Ben of Beej Guitar Repairs, ensuring durability and playability. Furthermore, both the stock hardware and electronics are fully functional, delivering seamless performance. The stock Epiphone humbucker pickups produce the characteristic tonic synonymous with this iconic platform.
Our Riviera has undergone a deep clean of the body, fretboard, electronics and has been professionally setup by Beej Guitar Repairs with a fresh set of 10-46 strings.

Customers are responsible for covering all shipping and insurance expenses for both outbound and return shipments, unless alternative arrangements have been made. Prior to initiating a return, customers must make contact to obtain a return authorisation. Returned items must be in their original condition. Unauthorised returns will be declined and returned at the customer's expense. Returned items are subject to a 15% restocking fee.
