2017 Epiphone Lee Malia Explorer Custom Artisan Walnut

Excellent condition featuring mahogany body, multiple bound maple top, multi-ply black and white pickguard, Gibson USA P-94 single coil neck pickup, Gibson USA 84T-LM humbucking bridge pickup, black plastic pickup surrounds, two volume controls (one with push/pull coil-split) and one tone control with black reflector top knobs, locking tune-o-matic bridge, stop tailpiece, three way pickup selector switch with white tip, set mahogany "1959 Rounded" neck with C profile, bound torrefied composite fingerboard with Artisan pearloid inlays and medium jumbo frets, synthetic bone nut, 1 11/16" nut width, multiple bound peghead with inlaid Epiphone logo, multi-ply black bell shaped truss rod cover with Artisan Custom print, six in a line tuning machines with tulip shaped buttons, facsimile Lee Malia signature and serial number on the back of the peghead, walnut stain finish, gold plated metal hardware, and original black padded Epiphone gig bag. This guitar weighs 8lb 2oz.

This 2017 Epiphone Lee Malia Explorer Custom Artisan is in near mint cosmetic condition. This Explorer still has the factory protective plastic film on the pickguard, electronics control cover plates and tuning machines. This guitar features a nice chunky “59” neck shape with rounded shoulders and a 1 11/16” nut width. This neck feels tremendous, substantial and is very comfortable to play. The fret wire on this instrument is in unplayed condition and shows no wear. This guitar features a hot Gibson 84T humbucking pickup in the bridge position and a Gibson P-94 in the neck position that has a “dummy coil” for eliminating 60 cycle hum. Both of these pickups sound incredible. There is a coil tap as well for getting some nice single coil sounds from the bridge position. This instrument is well suited for heavy, aggressive overdriven tones but also shines in the clean department thanks to that P94 neck pickup. A very versatile Explorer indeed! The bridge on this guitar is a locking wired ABR-1 style unit that makes string changes much easier and keeps your intonation on point. The Artisan appointments are incredibly cool and look fantastic paired with the walnut finish. If you are searching for a righteous Explorer, this thing is top notch!
