1966 Epiphone Riviera Royal Tan

This wonderful example of the very subtly beautiful Epiphone Riviera is all original in its rare Royal Tan finish.

The neck is smooth and slim at 1-9/16th inches wide at the nut. The nut has been replaced but the guitars frets have no divots and a lot of life in them.

All of the electronics are original including original patent sticker mini humbuckers measure a strong 7.8 ohms each. The guitar is crisp, and resonant and very expressive. The original potentiometers code as CTS brand from 1966.

The only small element to mention is a slight stress fracture beginning to show on the original “Frequensator” bridge. The bridge is stable and the original tuners hold the guitar in tune perfectly.

Found in the body is the bright bold and blue factory label.

The case is a modern Gibson branded custom shop case that fits perfectly.
