Summary: ESP created the KH-25 to celebrate 25 years of collaborations with Kirk Hammett. This guitar is made to resemble a Kirk-owned & Kirk-played LTD guitar – with lots of wear & tear but also filled with tons of tone.
Body: Solid alder body with a distressed black finish & a sticker on the top.
Neck: Bolt-on maple neck with a rosewood fingerboard, 25.5” scale length, 24 X-Jumbo frets, pearloid skull fingerboard inlays,
Pickups/Hardware: ESP ALH-200 active neck and bridge humbuckers, and a Floyd Rose Special locking tremolo bridge. Extra-jumbo frets. Black hardware & black ESP tuning machines. “Kirk’s Guitar” sticker, individual neck and bridge volume control, master tone control, and a 3-way pickup selector round out this anniversary shred machine. No whammy bar.
Cosmetics: Lots of wear that was part of the original process to create an instrument that replicated the Kirk Hammett ESP with dings, scratches – otherwise this instrument is in great shape & has been recently set up & ready to be rocked. The orange sticker is missing & the whammy bar is missing.
Playability: We set this guitar up with a new set of 10’s and made sure the action is low, the tremolo is fully functional, the neck is straight & the guitar plays great!
