The ESP Max Cavalera EX is the signature guitar for Max Cavalera. The ESP Max Cavalera EX features mahogany body with set-neck thin ‘U’ maple neck with rosewood fretboard. The sound comes from one single Seymour Duncan distortion pickup.
SEYMOUR DUNCAN DISTORTION (SH-6B)
Launched in 1980, the Duncan Distortion is our original high output humbucker. We use a massive ceramic magnet and hot coil windings to deliver full-bodied rock and metal tones with powerful upper mids for extra cut and grind. It’s great for hard-hitting, crunchy rhythms, and the lead tones scream with wild harmonics. It also remains tight with low tunings. The matching Duncan Distortion neck pickup is the perfect partner for complementary lead and rhythm tones, or pair it with a Jazz neck model for a wider range of sounds.

Brazilian-born guitarist, vocalist, and creative madman Max Cavalera is an ambassador to all things heavy metal. In 1984, Max Cavalera changed music history when he, with his brother, founded influential thrash/groove metal icons Sepultura. Since then, Max has been involved in respected bands like Soulfly and Cavalera Conspiracy, and ESP has been along for the ride the whole time. Employing a savage style all his own, Max has been very busy over the past fifteen years releasing 12 studio albums between his bands Cavalera Conspiracy and Soulfly.

In the event a return is requested on an item prior to shipment or delivery a 10% restocking fee will be deducted at our sole discretion. All returns must be approved by phone or email and must be returned in the exact condition they left our store. Any item returned not in the same condition it left our store is subject to a 20% restocking fee at our sole discretion.
