The Wolfgang USA features a basswood body with either an arched big-leaf maple or 5A flame maple top, bolt-on quartersawn maple neck with graphite reinforcement, 12” - 16” compound radius ebony fingerboard with 22 vintage stainless steel frets and mother of pearl block inlays (dot inlays on Stealth), direct mount EVH Wolfgang USA zebra humbucking pickups, three-way toggle switching with reverse wiring, volume control with 500K EVH Bourns® low friction pot with treble bleed circuit, tone control with 250K EVH Bourns high friction pot, EVH-branded Floyd Rose® locking tremolo bridge with EVH D-Tuna® and EVH-branded Gotho® High Ratio die-cast tuners with white pearloid buttons.

Basswood Wolfgang Body with 5A Flame Maple Top and Color Matched Headstock
Featuring an offset shape with larger upper horn, the Wolfgang’s basswood body provides excellent tonal response that is full and rich, along with overall warmth and sustain. The body and color matched Wolfgang headstock is capped with premium 5A flame maple for an exquisite figured touch.
Bolt-On Quartersawn Maple Neck with Eddie Van Halen’s Unique Wolfgang Backshape
Bolt-on is a type of neck construction that joins the maple neck to the body of the guitar with screws or bolts, resulting in bright tone with more control. The quartersawn grain runs the length of the neck for a stronger piece of wood, and is less susceptible to shrinking, warping or splitting, while graphite-reinforcement rods flank the truss rod for even more increased neck stability. For those who prefer a fatter neck, the Wolfgang backshape is a thicker profile in comparison to the standard or modified C- shape with a .805” thickness at the 3rd fret and .890” at the 12th fret.
12”-16” Compound Radius Ebony Fingerboard With 22 Vintage Stainless Steel Frets and Pearloid Block Inlays
The innovative 12”-16” compound radius design features a fingerboard that gradually flattens toward the heel from its smaller and more rounded profile at the nut. This makes for unparalleled comfortable chording and riffing near the nut and precise shred articulation and bending near the heel. Known for its clear and crisp attack, the ebony fingerboard’s tight wood grains also lend for a slick and fast-playing surface, while the vintage stainless steel frets are smaller for a classic feel. Lastly, pearloid block inlays add an elegant flash.
Direct Mount EVH Wolfgang USA Humbucking Pickups
Not all humbuckers are created equal. Direct mount EVH Wolfgang USA humbuckers with Alnico 2 magnets are hotter and harness Eddie’s signature authoritative, high-gain lead tone that captivated the world of rock ‘n’ roll in the ‘70s and ‘80s. These pickups deliver radiate rich harmonics, pristine highs and plenty of snarling mids.
Versatile Switching & Control Layout
Explore this axe’s sonic palette with the three-way toggle switch, with reverse wiring. Position one engages the neck pickup for all your blistering solo needs. Position two engages both pickups, while position three engages the bridge pickup for robust rhythm riffing. At Wild West Guitars we want you to be happy with your purchase. If you are not completely satisfied with your purchase you may simply return it. At Wild West Guitars we give you a 48-hour approval period. Below are the guidelines associated with our return policy. Return arrangements for online orders must be made within 14 days of receipt, or 48 hours in the case of phone and in-person purchases. All refunds will be less shipping costs both ways and applicable credit card fees. You may use your refund for full store credit on another "In Stock" item. If you choose a refund there will be a 10% re-stocking fee. The returning item must have an RA number given to you by a Wild West Guitars representative. Any item being returned without an RA number or verbal approval over the phone will be refused. The returning item must be shipped back in the same manner which it was received. If there is any damage to the item due to insufficient packing the return will be refused and no refund will be issued. All returns must be insured for the full amount of the purchase price. We will not accept a return if the item has been modified in any way. Returns are not accepted on any layaway items. Layaways are final sales and will be treated as such.
