Vintage 1960s Stratocaster with slabboard fingerboard.
Stratocaster with neck date 1965, pickup date 1965, small head and transition logo. Originally, this Stratocaster was made during the landboard period, when the junction surface of the fingerboard and neck was affixed along the fingerboard's radius, but it has been reupholstered in slabboard Indian rosewood, which has a flat junction surface between the fingerboard and neck. The neck has been reshaped, and the body and neck have been refinished, but it was done a long time ago, and the aging process has increased the sense of use, giving it a massive look with no apparent discomfort. The sound has been used extensively in the field, and it has a gorgeous treble range with a rich overtone structure, and a midrange with color and thickness, which is the sound of a 60's Stratocaster. This vintage Stratocaster is recommended for players who are searching for their own Stratocaster sound.
