DESCRIPTION
For your consideration a 1988 Fender ’57 Reissue Precision Bass in a Sunburst finish. 1957 was the first year of production for the Precision bass we have all come to know and love. Originally the P-bass had more of a Telecaster shaped body and headstock, as well as straight single coil. In ’57 the body got some contouring, a new pick guard (more Strat’ish), a big head stock and a split single coil pick up.

Specs! This bass is in very good condition. It has one replaced pot and a bit of sticker residue below the bridge. Nickel Reverse Wind tuners. Nut width measures 1-23/32″. One piece maple neck. with a depth of .83″ at the first fret and .95″ at the twelfth fret. 34″ scale length. Neck pocket dates October 25, 1988. Maple fingerboard with a 7.25″ radius. The original 20 medium small frets are in very good condition. Alder body finished in a 2 tone sunburst. Original pick ups. Original bridge. Comes with its original tweed hard shell case. Weighs 8 pounds and 9.3 ounces.

In the 80’s the Fender factory was really cookin, turning out some great examples of killer professional instruments with out the vintage collectors price! Awesome feel, great sounds and classic look! Fast comfortable neck. Good weight. Big round P-bass sound. These 80s reissues are in a league of their own!
