This 40th Anniversary '62 Reissue Fender Stratocaster was made in Japan in 1994. It sports a rare Burgundy Mist finish with a very cool matching headstock finish which is hard to photograph so we have included some natural light photos as well. This one also features a Foto Flame neck which is a thin flame maple veneer on top of the neck wood and under the clear finish to give it a highly figured look. These Foto Flame neck are notorious for developing finish cracks and this one has its share of them but none of the finish cracks on this guitar go through to the wood and are entirely superficial and completely stable. Otherwise there is play wear including visible dings, dents, and scratches but given its age it is in decent shape. The guitars electronics have been upgraded to Van Zandt black bottom pickups, newer CTS pots and a very cool vintage PIO tone cap. The guitar shows some fret wear with some divoting but nothing that inhibits playability and it has been pro-setup in our shop so it is in excellent playing condition. The guitar weighs 7 lbs 14 oz and it comes with a generic used gig bag.
