2017 Fender '63 Journeyman Closet Classic Telecaster (1963 reissue) Black

Summary: This Telecaster is in excellent shape, is lightweight and has a subtle “Closet Classic” relic with lots of finish checking. It is based on a '63 Telecaster Custom with rosewood “veneer” board, clay dots, steel saddles and black finish with white binding on top and bottom. Our in-house guitar tech has just set this Tele up with a new set of 10s and low action. It ships in its original hardshell case with case candy and COA.

Body: Solid alder body with reliced black nitro finish, white binding on front and back and 3 ply w/b/w pickguard.

Neck: It has a great '63 profile neck with most of the finish sanded off the back, narrow tall frets on the rosewood fretboard, end of heel truss rod adjustment, “clay” dots and Custom Shop decal on back. 1.65” nut width and 25.5” scale length.

Pickups/Hardware: It has the original Custom Shop '60s Telecaster pickups with staggered pole bridge pickup, steel saddles, volume, tone, 3 way toggle, bone nut and vintage style tuners.

Cosmetics: This guitar is in excellent shape with lots of factory done “Closet Classic” relicing. There is plenty of finish checking, chips and dings in the finish, finish sanded off the back of the neck and some small dents and scratches tastefully placed.

Playability: Our in-house guitar tech has just inspected, setup and restrung this guitar with a new set of 10s. The neck is straight, the truss rod is fully functioning and the action has been setup low and comfortable. The frets are in great shape with no major grooves or divots from use and it plays beautifully up and down the fingerboard with no dead spots or choking out.
