Summary: This 2003 Fender Telecaster ’69 RI Thinline has a chambered mahogany body and a replacement MIM neck from 2003. The pickups have been upgraded to Rio Grande Telecaster pickups and they sound great. The guitar has been re-fretted and there are a few chips and scratches in the fingerboard but it still plays and sounds good. It has just been restrung with a new set of 10s and the action is low and comfortable.

Body: Chambered mahogany body with F-hole and natural gloss finish.

Neck: 2003 made in Mexico maple neck that is not original to the guitar. The neck feels and looks like a Fender road worn tele neck but it’s hard to know for sure. The neck has a really great worn in feel to it but someone has re-fretted it with medium jumbo frets and they chipped out the board and scratched it up in a few spots. It still plays relatively well although there is a little buzz in some places. 1 5/8” nut width and 25.5” scale length.

Pickups/Hardware: Aftermarket Rio Grande pickups, 3 way toggle, volume, tone, 3 brass saddles and vintage style tuners.

Cosmetics: This guitar is in fairly good used condition aside from the chips and scratches in the fingerboard from a previous re-fret, some wear around the edges of the fingerboard, some slices in the edge of the neck behind the nut and a few small pick scratches. The body is in great shape with very little wear.

Playability: Our in-house guitar tech has just inspected, setup and restrung this guitar with a new set of 10s. The neck is straight, the truss rod is fully functioning and the action has been setup low and comfortable. The guitar was re-fretted by someone who did a C+ job…. they are mostly seated down all the way but there is a bit of fret buzz. The notes do not choke out, there is just bit of “sizzle” in some places but overall the guitar plays pretty well and feels like a good old guitar.

Modifications: non original frets, neck, bone nut, Rio Grande pickups.

Weight: 6 lbs, 9 oz.

Case: No case but we will ship it professionally packed and fully insured!
