DESCRIPTION
Up for sale is a 2004 Fender Classic Series ’72 Telecaster Thinline Reissue in a natural gloss finish! The thinline Telecaster was designed by German luthier Roger Rossmeisl in 1968. Known for his work with Rickenbacker, it comes as no surprise that his biggest alteration was to give the Telecaster a Semi-Hollow body. Initially brought to market in ’69, it received a big overhaul in ’72 when the pick ups were replaced with Seth Lovers new Wide Range humbuckers, a 3 bolt neck plate and a bullet truss rod.
Specs! F stamp vintage style tuners. Low E tuner replaced. Nut width measures 1-11/16″. One piece maple neck with a depth of .86″ at the first fret and .94″ at the twelfth fret. It has a 25.5″ scale length. Maple fingerboard with a 7.25″ radius. The original 21 vintage small frets are in very good condition. Semi-Hollow ash body finished in a natural gloss. Few dings on the front of body, typical player wear. Two Reissue Wide Range Humbuckers. CTS pots. Six saddle vintage style bridge. Comes with a gig bag. Weighs 7 pounds and 6 ounces.
The Telecaster Thinline is an awesome way to get that classic Fender body shape but with a different vibe! It being a semi-hollow gives you a little more volume off the body, which is nice for practicing at lower volumes. It also helps with the weight of the guitar. The Fender Wide Range humbuckers give this Telecaster a unique voice that is fuller yet still capable of getting some bell like clarity. Fantastic guitar, perfect for anyone wanting a Telecaster with a bit of personality. Overall in very good condition less a larger body ding on the front of the body located on the upper bass bout. Pro setup in house.
