Summary: Often copied, but never surpassed, the Stratocaster is arguably the world's most-loved electric guitar. Electrifying the music world since its release in 1954, its natural, versatile sound made the Stratocaster the benchmark for exceptional guitar tones. The American Professional Stratocaster HSS ShawBucker isn't a re-imagining of the classic design; it's the authentic original model, evolved.
Body: This guitar has an alder body with a unique Sonic Grey polyurethane finish.
Neck: Designed for comfort and speed, the American Professional has a maple neck with a deep “C” profile and a rosewood fingerboard with 22 narrow tall frets and a bone nut. It also has white dots, a 9 ½” fretboard radius and the 1/8” adjustable Bi-flex truss rod. The nut width is 1 11/16” and the scale length is 25 ½”
Pickups/Hardware: This Strat has two single coil V-Mod pickups and the redesigned ShawBucker™ humbucking pickup in the bridge. They are voiced specifically for each position, bringing out the nuances of your playing. This guitar also includes a treble bleed circuit which maintains your highs when reducing volume. It features the new pop-in tremolo arm that securely stays in position, no matter how hard you play. The arm tension can also be adjusted for a perfectly dialed-in feel that matches any player’s preference. This instrument has a W/B/W 3 ply pickguard & the original Fender tuning keys.
Cosmetics: This Stratocaster is in fabulous shape overall. It only has some picking scratches on the top and a couple of dings on the back. None of the wear is very noticeable, nor does it affect the playability whatsoever. The frets have no gouges in them and have tons of life left.
Playability: This American Professional Stratocaster plays beautifully with low action up and down the fingerboard. It has recently been setup by our in-house luthier and strung with a new set of 10’s.
