2018 Fender American Special Stratocaster Faded Sonic Blue

Excellent condition featuring alder body with Faded Sonic Blue finish, multi-ply mint green pickguard, three single coil pickups with cream covers, one volume control and one tone control with cream plastic skirted knobs, five way pickup selector switch with cream tip, vintage style tremolo bridge with bent steel Fender stamped saddles, bolt on maple neck with walnut skunk stripe, rosewood fingerboard with white dot inlays starting at the third fret, bone nut, enlarged Stratocaster peghead with black and gold Fender block logo and Stratocaster logo, two string trees, six in a line Fender locking tuners, printed serial number and Corona, California, on the back of the peghead, four bolt fastening plate, multi-ply mint green tremolo cavity cover plate, two metal strap buttons, chrome plated metal hardware, Fender G&G hard shell case with black tolex covering and red plush interior, and COA, paperwork and trem bar. This guitar weighs 7lb 9oz.

This 2018 Fender American Special is in overall excellent virtually unplayed condition. The C shaped neck profile is comfortable and feels very nice to play. This neck shape is very comparable to the older model American Standards. The medium jumbo frets are in excellent nearly unplayed condition. This guitar has been setup and plays tremendous up and down the fingerboard with low smooth action and terrific intonation. The electronics function perfectly and the three original single coil pickups deliver some pretty quintessential Stratocaster tones. They are very balanced and sound great in every position. The previous owner had a set of Fender locking tuning machines professionally installed and these are a pretty nice upgrade as they help to keep your tuning rock solid and make string changes a snap! This instrument includes its original tremolo bar, COA and paperwork. It is housed in an exceptionally nice Fender G&G hard shell case with black Tolex and red plush interior. The American Special line of guitars is no longer being produced by Fender and this particular Stratocaster is a mighty fine example and is finished in one of the coolest colors to boot. If you are after a righteous American made Stratocaster, then this Faded Sonic Blue gem might be right up your alley.
